div bSHAPE THE FUTURE OF MOBILITY FROM DAY ONE./bThis position is part of our Advanced Safety and User Experience segment (ASUX) and our Connected Services (ACS) business unit.bSummary:/bResponsible for working with Ford manufacturing and internal teams to synchronize all operations involved in managing and supporting on-line, over the air, based vehicle software loading and configuring. Project includes providing support, resource coordination, concern investigation, process documentation, tool set-up/deployment, reporting and ongoing process audits. This individual will be responsible for installation, test, diagnosis and maintenance of tools within Ford Motor Company vehicle assembly plants including external process audits to monitor and improve performance.This position bwill require travel/b within North America, i.e. Canada, United States and Mexico. During new tool and product launches this will typically be 2-week blocks once a month. Travel is usually planned ahead of time, but may change if plant builds change. Some short notice travel may be required if plants have concerns that need immediate resolution. bResponsibilities and duties:/bulliProvide Ford manufacturing plant support. This includes on-site or remote which may be planned or ad hoc and concerns may arise and need to be supported on a 7 * 24 basis. Support may be initiated via calls, texts or emails. Responsible to Investigate concerns and work with customer and internal teams to investigate and resolve. Some may be due to customer concerns (e.g. vehicle assembly, vehicle software, plant process, customer server). Even in these cases we work with them as part of the team to help identify and resolve concern. /liliAbility to read technical items (e.g. emails, tool log files, vehicle specs) and communicate clearly with internal and customer teams. /liliBuild and maintain a positive working relationship in face-to-face and remote conditions with customers and internal teams. Ability to represent Aptiv in customer meetings and work individually in plants. Important to maintain composure with all customers sometimes in stress situations when concerns occur. /liliAbility to logically work through concerns in a structured way including using tools like 5D/8D, fishbone, etc. Typically analysis of complex data is required using structured and timely analysis. /liliTrain customers and work with them to improve their knowledge on use of tools, reports and data available to investigate concerns. /liliMonitor all the equipment being used to ensure everything is performing at acceptable levels. Resolve concerns working with team if required. * Define, coordinate and implement process changes to improve tool and process performance. /liliProvide updates to the team as required./liliMiscellaneous product support (e.g. repair process, reporting, inventory management, etc.)/li/ulbDesired Skills Experience /bulli5+ years technical experience working with vehicles (preferably Ford) or complex software/liliAbility to investigate and resolve concerns in structured manner with minimal and in some cases no oversight/liliExperience in management of complex data/liliExcellent organizational, communication, and information technology skills to work with internal team and customers at different levels in the organization/liliFamiliarity with automotive communication protocols and network tools a plus/lilig
