Aerotek Machine Operator in Auburn Hills, Michigan


Candidates will be working as "machinist trainee's" for the first 6 months on the job site. This means that there day to day responsibilities will vary based on what type of training they are on that day.

Once Direct with the company:

work on mill's, lathes, presses, etc. There is a good chance that they will be spending most of there time learning 1 of 3 different stations on the heat treat machine. Candidates will either work as a loader or an unloader of the machine.

Both loaders and unloaders are also responsible for performing quality inspection on finished parts by using hand guages, thread guages, and instruments to check the hardness of parts.

These positions are for 2nd shift (3pm to 12am). Early on, these candidate should expect to work 5-6 days per week.

They will train on 1st shift for about a month or until they feel comfortable. The first shift hours are 5 am - 2:00 Pm

Must have:

1 year of machining experience

blueprint reading

quality inspection (hand tools)

ability to work on feet entire shift

ability to work overtime as needed

Mechanical aptitude (ability to learn new hand tools as needed)

Nice to have:

-Heat treat machining

-Manual mill / lathe / bridgeport
