FCA US, LLC Powertrain Supplier Operations Program Manager in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is currently seeing a Powertrain Supplier Operations Program Manager to work at our Headquarters Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.The Powertrain Supplier Operations Program Manager will be responsible for current/carryover and/or future Powertrain programs, ensuring key quality milestones/goals are met for all supplier components. Program responsibilities could be in the area of electrified powertrain, driveline, or traditional powertrain systems. The Program Manager will manage all aspects of the Advance Supplier Operations functions as it pertains to the powertrain project from concept creation to launch. The Program Manager will work cross functionally with Engineering, Manufacturing, Corporate Quality, Purchasing, and Suppliers to ensure success at launch and through long term program production. This person will lead process readiness assessment activities, develop and present program status and readiness updates as well as articulate open issues and risk mitigation plans to senior leadership (Industrial Heads, etc.). In addition, the Program Manager will manage the launch support in the plant, and work with Supplier Operations Engineers globally to ensure the vehicle and powertrain is ready at each build phase.Key Roles Responsibilities for Powertrain Product Team:•Manage Supplier Operations activities for purchased parts•Single-point Supplier Operations contact for plant and program customers•Support daily Supplier Operations plant activities that include NCT, GIMs, 3CPR, supplier 8 stages, new program launch, warranty reduction, and daily activity reports•Manage Supplier Operations program reporting requirements for program reviews that include PFMEA, TKO, PDR, PPAP, and overall supplier readiness and risk•Manage Program Risk Assessment updates•Monitor PPAP for running changes as needed on current production program•Participate in Platform Team Meetings, Change Review Board Meeting and related FEW/GIMs and Warranty/Quality Improvement meetings•Facilitate key component and focus supplier reviews•Facilitate safe launch strategies and problem resolution reviews•Facilitate early sourcing process and supplier selectionBasic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science or higher in Engineering from an ABET accredited university•Minimum 5 years combined work experience within program management, supplier quality/operations, corporate quality, engineering, or manufacturing roles•Minimum 3 years work experience in programroject management•Proven ability to manage multiple projects and tasks•Highly proficient in written and verbal communication skills•Comfortable presenting to an audience of peers, managers, and executives•Proficient interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team•Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Suite software•Creative problem solving ability and a results orientation•Ability to travel globallyPreferred Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical, Material Science, or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited university•Master’s degree related to Engineering/Manufacturing•Experience with powertrain systems and/or supplier quality/operations•Green Belt or Black Belt skills (Red X/Shainin)•Quality certification•Project Management certification•Familiar with CPCP and GPDOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
