Dow Chemical DSS OTC Material Flow - MPC / Air BPX in Auburn, Michigan
The Dow Chemical Company has an opportunity available for an OTC Material Flow Business Process Expert (BPX) for MPC/Air Management. The preferred location for this role is at the Auburn facility in Auburn, MI. This role will align to the Materials Division (MatCo).
The OTC Material Flow BPX for MPC/Air Management works with the business process team and other functional SMEs to define business needs and provide consulting support for future improvements and functionality with a business process area. The MPC/Air Management Business Process Expert plays a key role throughout the project, including requirements, designs, PT testing, implementation, training and end user support (working through the Support Escalation Process).
Participate in business case development, providing input into benefits and strategic alignment of DSS opportunities utilizing business process knowledge and business / functional understanding.
Provide key functional knowledge and expertise of tools within the team.
Key role for solution requirements gathering and use cases (scenario) development.
Collaborate with team members to translate requirements into designs and configuration.
Analyze and design OTC Material Flow business processes. The Business Process Expert will be accountable to design the defined metrics, but monitoring of the metrics will need to be defined for each activity.
Participate in system development and testing activities collaborating with Shared Development (I/S LAS/AS and
RICEFW) team members to translate into configuration. Ensure development aligns with requirements.
Create and execute against a test plan. Document test sets and/or scripts per defined scenarios and participate in testing activities as they align with the testing strategy. Collaborate with other modes and functions on scenarios to ensure alignment of end to end processes. Support to Regional Implementation teams during UAT.
Identify and escalate issues to manage risk and ensure on time solution delivery.
Identify and participate in business process continuous improvement opportunities.
Identify opportunities of new DSS systems and applications that have potential process improvements and/or efficiencies.
Serve as Subject Matter Expert for training design, documentation and development.
Own and maintain functional user documentation and definitions for respective business process.
Serve as the SME for functional area providing escalation level support to end users (working through the Support
Escalation Process). Partner cross functionally with other teams to ensure work process and functional integration.
A minimum requirement for this role is a Bachelor's degree.
5 yrs of relevant experience is required
