div class="careers-description__container" div class="careers-description__content" CNC Lathe Operator - 2nd or 3rd Shift uJob Summary/u Set up and operate lathe machine to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading parts by performing the essential job functions. uEssential Job Functions/u liRead process sheets, blueprints, and sketches of parts to determine machining to be done, dimensional specifications, set up, and operating requirements/li liRetrieve CNC program from DNC computer/li liInsert work piece into chuck or other holding devices/li liSelect and install preset tooling in tool posts, turrets or indexing heads, and automatic tool change magazine in sequence specified on process sheet/li liOperation of CNC Lathe: depress buttons, toggles, etc and start machining operation/li liPerform dry run and observe numerical displays on control panel and compare with data on process sheet to verify dimensional adjustments, feed rates, and speeds of machining cuts/li liAdjust dials and switches to override CNC program and correct machine performance as necessary/li liStudy job packet and organize materials for next run during automatic cycles to shorten change over time/li liSet up and operate another machine tool during CNC controlled machining cycles as necessary/li liCommunicate with individuals associated with the production of each job/li liPerform and document specified inspection criteria/li liIdentify and communicate any suspect and/or non-conforming product to the appropriate supervisor/li liComplete any necessary non-conforming product paperwork/li liDeliver non-conforming product to designated area/li liScan on and off of all jobs ran during shift for costing analysis/li liAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedures, and work instructions/li liPerform necessary machine maintenance at specified intervals/li liAbility to write simple correspondence/li liAbility to speak effectively with others/li liAbility to calculate figures/li liAbility to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry/li liAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables/li liAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form/li liAbility to read and interpret blueprint specifications/li liAbility to use appropriate measuring devices and any equipment associated with job/li /ul uJob Requirements/u liHigh School Diploma or GED/li liMotor coordination, manual finger dexterity/li liOverhead Crane License/li liIndustrial Truck License/li liAbility to read and interpret documents/li liAbility to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals/li liAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations/li liAbility to interpret a variety of instructions (written, oral, diagram, etc)/li liKnowledgeable of CNC and manual machines used to manufacture tooling/li liOrganization skills/li liComputer skills/li /ul div class="careers-apply__container"Reports To: Lathe Supervisor/div div class="careers-description__container" div class="careers-description__content" Sta
