PUMP SERVICE CENTER MECHANIC JOB SUMMARY Operate manual machine tools, repair pumps and related equipment, support tear down and inspection of pumping equipment, as well as assemble units after repair. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Set up and run manual lathe and milling machines 2. Accurately read blueprints and calculate measurements 3. Disassemble, inspect and reassemble pumps and related equipment 4. Willing to train on and operate balancing equipment 5. Tear down and inspect pumps 6. Record all fits and finishes of the units that are torn down 7. Operate drill press 8. Occasional field service calls 9. Center grinding (OD) 8. Inspect outsourced parts EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE High School diploma required. Two years of technical training desired. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Capable of physically pushingulling up to 100 lbs. Must be physically fit for standing, bending, and using hand tools. Hand tools include: air grinders, air impact tools, sanders, hand wrenches and hammers. Must be able to physically lift up to 50 lbs. Must be physically fit to turn, push buttons, and work with levers on the machines at knee-waist level and above. WORKING CONDITIONS Warehouse conditions are in line with Celeros Flow Technology EHS regulations and country legislative safety requirements with regards to safe walkways, shelving and general working areas. Due to the nature of the environment, temperatures can range depending on seasonal conditions. Noise can often be at levels that require hearing protection due to vehicle movements and general day to day activities in the nearby workshop. All PPE is provided for by the company.
