To continue our growth, we have an excellent opportunity for a Welder II at our manufacturing facility in Clare, MI.JOB DESCRIPTIONUtilizes blue prints to fit and weld metal components.Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding.Ensures Quality Auditor is called in to verify work.Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together.Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.Sets up and can adjust GMAW and FCAW equipment to perform quality welds.Can perform quality MIG welds on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.Can check weld size with weld gauges.Is able to pass an AWS Welder Qualification Test for customer specific requirements.Assists in OJT training of Welder 3 employees.Uses plasma, and/or oxyfuel cutting torches.Uses CAC gouging machine to create grooves and perform CJP welds.Can read and interpret welding symbols.Uses hand power tools such as grinders, belt sanders, die grinder.Is proficient using fabrication measurement tools (squares, tape measures, levels, magnets).Utilizes QC packets to determine build quantityRepair, disassemble, assemble, straighten, sharpen and reshape products.Operates forklifts, hoists, and cranes.Responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures in the effort for continuous improvement.JOB REQUIREMENTSThis is an experienced level position and all training will happen on site. Applicants must be able to weld/fabricate components to customer supplied specifications.
