The Engine Lab Test Technicianis an integral part of the vehicle development process. You will usecutting edge technology to help create the vehicles of tomorrow

BRIEF OUTLINEOF SPECIFIC ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support development, durabilityand performance testing in a power train/ fuel systems facility

  • Fabricate brackets, mounts, andfixtures for testing set-ups.

  • Interface with Test Technicians, Technologists,Product Engineers, and Supervisors on updates/new test procedures, equipmentand methods.

  • Covers lab fuel house for fuel changes and fuel deliveries.

Qualifications

MINIMUMEDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND /OR SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma

  • Minimum of two (2) years of related experience or vocational training.

  • Experience with vertical mills, lathes, band saws, drill presses, arbor press, metal brake, and pedestal grinder.

  • Experience in engines/powertrain dynamometer testing or other similar testing techniques preferred.

  • Experience/Understand: CAD print conversion to CNC process

  • Experience/Understand: CNC part set-up/ processing

  • Good interpersonal, computer, oral and written skills.

Desired:

Working towards an Associate Degree inAutomotive Technology or Machine shop Technology or related fields orequivalent testing experience.

Criticality of Attendance

  • Overtime, regular days, off days: Monday through Friday, 8 hrs/day and 5 days/week. Occasional weekend AWS/OTP

  • Shift,1st, 2nd, 3rd: DAYS Training and other work schedule may take placeduring days, afternoons, or midnights.

  • Necessityfor regular attendance: Critical for employee to be there on a regular basis.

  • Urgencyfor punctuality: Critical for employee to be there on time.

  • Musthave flexibility of work days to cover weekend testing requirements.

Other Essential Functions

  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, and background check.

  • Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers.

  • Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to self or others.

  • Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Dependable personal transportation to work site is required.
