Wherever there is a need for motive power, EnerSys offers the perfect energy solution.divdivdivfont class="bold"Job Purpose/font/divdivProvide technical and application support for EnerSys products and services, in the assigned area against profitable margins and in line with the business plan, in order to contribute to the realization of service- related sales and service targets./div/divdivdivfont class="bold"Essential Duties and Responsibilities/font/divdivulliPlans and coordinates activities concerned with installing equipment, investigating and resolving customer reports of technical problems with equipment, and eliminating future operational or service difficulties by performing the following duties/liliFollows all company policies and procedures as listed, but not limited to: warranty, safety, environmental, OSHA, DOT Hazmat, and ISO9000/liliTravels to customer sites to evaluate, diagnose, and repair customer's equipment/liliReplaces defective parts, reassembles battery, and fuses lead parts with the gas torch/liliWashes clean, and neutralizes customer's batteries at customer 's location/liliDiagnoses and repairs battery charging equipment/liliSpecifies coordinates installation of, installs, provides preventive maintenance, and repairs battery handling equipment/liliOperates material handling equipment per OSHA requirements/liliInstalls new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications/liliPerforms inspections and analyzes findings to determine the source of the problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action/liliCoordinates problem resolution with technical support, customer service, sales, and other personnel to expedite repairs/liliProvides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment. Functions as a technical resource to the service tech, service tech II, PSR's and Sales personnel/liliMaintains records of performance reports/liliProvides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer/liliIdentifies areas/customers to target for increased service business. Works with Service Manager/Supervisor to develop and execute plans to accomplish this goal/liliDevelops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers/liliMaintains a safe, orderly, and clean working environment; Assists Service
