The FCA Quality Organization is currently seeking a Cert Line Unit Leader to join our Quality Organization at FCA’s Detroit 2 Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an internal part of company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.
The Certification Supervisor is responsible for managing UAW work teams in a fast paced high volume automotive manufacturing environment to execute standardization of manufacturing Quality enablers. The selected candidate will supervise hourly quality inspectors and repair area personnel and hold responsibility for various business metrics of the department. Additionally, the ideal candidate possesses a broad knowledge of manufacturing and the quality landscape, presents outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills with unquestionable integrity. The Quality Supervisor will support the overall manufacturing goals for quality performance as well as monitor and improve the health of the production quality systems.
Job responsibilities include but not limited to:
Responsible for supervising and developing the performance of the hourly quality work team
Continued improvement of company-wide quality performance
Provide technical support between engineering, production and product design departments, as needed
Investigates quality concerns internally, at supplier and customer sites
Initiates the corrective action team and is responsible for monitoring and implementing corrective and preventive actions
Coordinate quality related activities to achieve business metrics of the department
Establish and maintain the documentation of processes utilizing FCA world class manufacturing tools
Utilize problem solving tools in day-to-day operations
Demonstrated people management experience
Quality-minded, critical thinker
Experience in using problem solving tools within a manufacturing environment
Ability to work a split shift work pattern
Demonstrated use of MS office products
- Automotive manufacturing experience
