Job Title: Peptone Manufacturing Worker

Shift Hours: Monday-Friday 3:00-11:30PM

Starting Pay Rate: $21.96/hour

How will you make an impact?

The Peptone Worker will perform manufacturing operations associated with the production of animal-based peptones.

What will you do?

The Peptone Worker will be responsible to:

  • Prepare raw material for use in digest kettles

  • Setup and operate digest kettles, steam kettles and filter presses

  • Setup and load product dryers

  • Unload, weigh and transfer dried product

  • Operate pH meters

  • Equipment cleaning

  • Facility cleaning

  • Perform other duties as assigned by a Supervisor including cross-training on other equipment

How will you get here?

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

  • No specific experience required as on-the-job training will be conducted.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Must be able to write legibly

  • Must be able to read and comprehend directions/instructions

  • Basic math skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong verbal communication

​Preferred experience includes:

  • Good Manufacturing Practices / ISO experience

  • Good Documentation experience

  • Use of Standard Operating Procedures
