The Return Parts Analysis Technician supports the Schaeffler Product Development groups with Return Part Analysis (RPA) and testing in the North American Automotive Center in order to guarantee quality products for Schaeffler Group USA customers.Key responsibilities include but not limited to :Perform testing/measurement/analysis to procedures and/or work instructionsAssist in Return Parts Analysis workflow planning and estimating of cost and timing for testing/measurement/analysisAssist RPA and Development Engineers to improve current procedures and to develop new procedures when/where applicableManage portfolio of tasks or work assignments and proactively communicate with RPA Engineering and Group Leader as conflicts arise or timing constraints cannot be metQualified candidates will have:Minimum High School Diploma and 3 years experience as an automotive related technician, or Associate degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent degreeMachine shop experience preferredGood knowledge of automotive engines and subsystemsGood mechanical understandingFamiliarity and ability to use of cameras/microscopes, common measurement equipment such as dial indicators, gage blocks, thermocouples, displacementressure/flow transducers, etcUnderstanding and ability to interpret technical drawingsBasic technical writing skill for reports, in addition to excellent planning organization skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office SuitesSchaeffler is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Minorities/Females/Disabled/VeteransEqual Opportunity Employerndash;minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identityPlease see job description for required skills.
