We are currently seeking an Environmental Technician III to assign and oversee daily tasks of assigned group of employees ensuring work is acomplished on time and in accordance with client and business requirements and Stericycle policies, practices and procedures. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: • Instructs, provides feedback and directs and assists team in performance of job duties to complete work in accordance with requirements and Stericycle policies, practices and procedures. Enforces Stericycle employee policies and may remove employee from job when required. Provides input for performance reviews. • Schedules and distributes work to team. • Conducts safety meetings • Prepares and completes all appropriate paperwork including various reports such as inventory, task sheets, depositions sheets, etc. • Loads and unloads company and vendor vehicles of supplies, materials & waste using mechanical & physical means • Consolidate, comingles, and handles all inbound waste materials according to regulations and permit requirements. • Ensures proper storage, processing and security of all waste materials including labeling, aisle space, container condition and chemical segregations, etc. • Assists with facility maintenance activities • Maintains necessary supplies and equipment. • Trains Technicians and Operators on-the-job in equipment operation, service line processes and necessary paperwork. • Operates all necessary equipment in service line in accordance with operation training and safety procedures. • Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS: • 3 or more years experience in industry • 40 hours OSHA training with 8 hour refresher course • Successful completion of forklift training JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE: • Safe Operation of all equipment and tasks DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: • Working knowledge of hazardous waste processing and regulations • Organizational and time management skills • Ability to manage processes • Ability to establish effective eworking relationships • Ability to work in an indoor and outdoor environment • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment • Operational knowledge of tools, equipment and tasks in job processes • Ability to complete all paperwork WORKING ENVIRONMENT: • Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs. • Plant environment
