h3Position Summary/h3 The job will require rotating shift work on days, evenings, and nights. Weekday and weekend work will be required. Responsibilities will be for all aspects of the fermentation process up to 3000-liter scale: liFollow detailed instructions to execute and document tasks accurately and precisely./li liOperate, monitor and control fermentation processes./li liOperate, sterilize, clean, maintain, improve and repair fermentation equipment up to 3000-liter scale./li liAdhere to safety policies and procedures./li liRecord data and observations into batch records and workbooks./li liInterpret data and implement appropriate control changes based on an understanding of control parameters./li liWork both independently and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams, including providing assistance to other teams./li liProvide written and oral feedback to project leaders, team members and clients regarding observations and ideas for improvement./li liWork non-routine hours on rotating shifts including evening, night and weekend work./li /ul h3Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills/h3 Knowledge normally acquired from specialized training such as that acquired in two to three years of college, technical, vocational, trade or business school with coursework in a field related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in performing tasks related to the area of employment; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. May require certification in the area of employment. h3Desired Qualifications/h3 An Associates or Bachelors degree in a scientific field (e.g. Microbiology, Engineering, Biotechnology, or a related discipline) or documentation of equivalent knowledge based on hands-on experience.
