CSM SERVICES General Maintenance in Flint, Michigan

SCHEDULE:
1st Shift M - F 6:30 AM - 3PM
SALARY: $11-13
AVAILABLE POSITION:
CSM is currently looking for a General Maintenance to join our maintenance team in the Flint, MI area. The General Maintenance will work primarily 1st Shift and will be expected to answer periodic emergency calls. He/she will assume responsibility for assembling, installing, and repairing pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems according to specifications and plumbing codes. Candidate will need to provide own power tools.

JOB DUTIES:
Assembles and installs both metal and nonmetal valves, pipe fittings, and pipes using hand tools and power tools
Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures including, but not limited to: sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc.
Repairs and maintains plumbing by mending burst pipes, opening clogged drains, and tending to any other plumbing issues
Ensures regulatory requirements and established procedures are met
Follows safety requirements
Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well-maintained
Responds to requests for special projects and miscellaneous maintenance services
Creates and maintains effective working relationships with account staff and management
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work any assigned schedule to include overtime, weekends and holidays if needed.
Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to operate relevant plumbing instruments and tools
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Must be 18 or older
Ability to be moving or standing up to 8 hours
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
Self-starter
Admirable attendance record
