BMT Aerospace is a well-established and growing aerospace manufacturing machining company seeking experienced CNC Bevel Gear Cutter Operator for our Night Shift. We offer competitive wages and benefits (includes Blue Cross medical). along with a 10% night shift premium. Our clean and air conditioned facility is located in Fraser, Michigan.Bevel Operator needed to set up and operate Klingelnberg Cutter and Grinder equipment to exacting tolerances and dimensions with minimal supervision.Shift is Monday - Friday 5:30 pm start timeResponsibilitiesResponsible for the set-up, adjustment and operation of all sizes and types of bevel gear cutting and grinding machinesWork from blueprints, sketches and set up cardsInspect sizes, run out, length, lead, and spacing with precision measuring instruments and machinesQualifications5 years of Bevel experience in grinding/cuttingExperience with Klingelnberg grinders and cuttersExperience with setting up using test stand and master gears to check patterns and backlashExperience using analytical gear inspection equipment such as Klingelnberg P-machinesGood attendance and work ethicWork at a fast paced environmentAble to interpret sketches and printsAbility to work overtime when requiredTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
