The product management team is chartered to guide both the development and implementation of the company’s product strategy and stages of product lifecycle through awareness of market needs, working with engineering teams and bringing to market innovative products and releases.

Position Summary:

Maintenance Software Product Manager:

  • Drive standard maintenance capabilities for Dematic’s logistics automation and enterprise asset management markets as part of its Dematic iQ InSights software platform

  • Develop and drive the maintenance software roadmap into a set of clear and actionable requirements

  • Leverage technical ability to guide development teams to create and bring leading products to market

The Maintenance Software Product Manager will:

  • Together with Software Product Management team define the vision and roadmap for our Dematic iQ InSights Maintenance and Dematic Sprocket market offerings

  • Create module oriented program definitions for new development efforts, including business case development, top-level development initiatives, and other relevant requirements to ensure a successful product.

  • Launch and bring to market within a multi-channel environment standard and configurable software product offering supporting a common set of solutions, sub-systems, modules, product content and positioning.

In this position you will serve as the external and internal evangelist for your product offering

  • Discover pervasive market problems and customer pain points

  • Establish and monitor module capability development and market competitiveness

  • Technical assessments

  • Development releases

  • Launch plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define the capabilities and features needed to support Dematic iQ InSights Maintenance offerings

  • Establish module strategies and roadmap

  • Monitor product competitiveness

  • Produce Program, Development Initiative and Use Case level specifications

  • Proactively seeks innovation to improve existing products, optimization potential, performance and methods

  • Balance needs of customer, end-users and internal partners

  • Directs Agile development teams by providing strategy and directional targets

  • Develops and monitors comprehensive product launch plans to ensure successful results

  • Manage product life cycle from strategic planning and tactical activities to product and release sunsetting


  • Computer Science, Software Engineering, Facility & Operations Management or Industrial Engineering degree and Product Management related work experience a strong plus

Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Software Product Management or Technical Sales experience.

  • Knowledgeable in:

  • Software technology

  • Computerized maintenance management (CMMS)

  • Enterprise asset management (EAM)

  • Asset and work order management

  • Equipment, Internet of Things or process monitoring and visualization

  • Product Management and Technology Planning

  • Measure success of products and features and use metrics to drive future priorities

  • Experience with short and long term technology planning and product launching

  • Exhibit strong problem solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills

  • Develop solutions and execution strategies in complicated or novel situations

  • Possess excellent communications skills

  • Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations at all levels in the organization across functional and geographic boundaries

  • Experience with developing scalable, modular, performance-driven software platforms and products.

  • Success leading cross-functional teams, with a collaborative style, and aptitude in team faciliation.

  • Outstanding team building skills with the ability to improve interation and efficiency as well as the ability to break down barriers and silos.

  • Strong communication, presentation and writing skills for all levels within an organization.

  • Experience in distributed work environments or international business setting.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.

  • Travel to customer and non-customer sites, traveling up to 25%.
