Better World.What this role is all about:We are looking for a Packaging Operator I in Grand Rapids, MI to work 7:15pm to 7:15am.The Packaging Operator is primarily responsible for efficiently and properly operating packaging equipment/machinery, consistently maintaining the highest standard in food quality and safety. The Packaging Operator is responsible for all operations, cleaning and efficiencies of the packaging line, maximizing operating performance, uptime, waste reduction, quality and productivity.ulliSafely and efficiently operate packaging equipment and machinery./liliPerform troubleshooting and predictive maintenance inspections, as well as minor repairs as needed./liliMaintain working area as clean (free of floor debris), organized, and free of standing water./liliClosely monitor packaging quality, make necessary adjustments and communicate changes./liliKeep detailed records and document changes made to the machine during the shift./liliPerform set-up activities such as mechanical assembly as well as loading of packaging materials, such as caps, corrugate and inner cartons./liliResponsible for detailed cleaning activities in all packaging equipment as well as other areas of the plant on a regular basis; this can occasionally mean entire shifts of cleaning duties./liliConsistently meet production needs and goals while making efforts to minimize product shrink and downtime./liliMaintain levels of glue, lubrication, ink and other consumables as needed./liliMaintain proper levels of consumables in correct locations in work area./liliActively participate in s
