Stiles Machinery Rebuild Apprentice in Grand Rapids, Michigan
Description
Disassembling, cleaning, and washing parts
Evaluating and recording damage and cause
Ordering replacement parts needed
Communicating with sales, service, and customers to investigate the root causes of tool failures
Precisely assembling mechanical units or fabricated parts at floor stations or bench to complete units using hand tools and light power tools and equipment
Fitting, aligning, calibrating, and adjusting parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product operating requirements
Working as a team member of a small, highly skilled team, being able to perform multiple tasks as needed and stay focused
Working an 8-hour work schedule, with overtime as needed
Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager
