Precision Gage, LLC CNC Operator in Hillsdale, Michigan

General Summary: The production operator job will consist of starting up, operating, inspecting, proper shut down, proper preventive maintenance, and preparing products based on our customersrsquo; requirements.Essential Functions:ulliStart up and operate machines following proper instruction/liliEnsure correct documentation for orders/liliPerform preventive maintenance processes/liulliCleaning machines, greasing chucks, checking bolts, checking and filling fluid reservoirs, cleaning coolant tanks, etc./li/ulliTroubleshoot process and machine problems/liliPerform tool changes and offset tools/liulliChange inserts as needed/liliGauge parts with production type gauges such as plug gauges, thread gauges and/or variable gauges/liliMake regular and frequent insert offsets via CNC equipment/li/ulliInspect parts to ensure conformity to customer requirements and document results/liulliVisual and Dimensional Inspection/li/ulliFork truck operation/liulliRegular and frequent operation of Forklift to get raw materials, move finished goods and empty hoppers/li/ulliFollow safe work practices in all aspects of the job/liulliExpected to know and use Lock Out/Tag Out practices/liliProper PPE is required in all production areas/li/ulliMaintain a clean and orderly work area/li/ulExperience RequiredulliMachining experience with milling and turning experience preferred, but not required/liliBasic knowledge of machining processes preferred/li/ulEducation, Training SkillsulliHigh School Diploma or equivalent GED preferred/liliBasic math and blueprint reading experience preferred/liulliAdding, dividing, averages, etc. and ability to plot data points. Using charts to convert decimals and fractions. Print reading a benefit but not required./li/ulliStrong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills/liliBasic knowledge of Quality Systems, such as ISO-9001/li/ulWork Schedule/Job Rotation/Breaks: 10 hour shifts per day with 10 hours overtime per week, mandatory. Two 10 minute breaks and one 15 minute lunch (5 minutes allowed for clean-up)
