General Summary: Supervise, assist and train operators performing machine tasks. Administer machine operations and production of parts to safely meet production requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leads team line

  • Assures machines and tools are running efficiently

  • Performs safety and quality inspections

  • Maintains a clean work environment

  • Completes documentation requirements

  • Starts up and shuts down Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, Robots and Assembly Cells

  • Oversees team’s machine operators, assembly and inspection

  • Operates production machine(s) when needed

  • Trains workers in procedures for correcting machine malfunctions

  • Ensures operators are trained for their assigned activity

  • Reassigns workers as needed, in conjunction with the Shift Supervisor

  • Performs and supervises work to meet production goals

  • Ensures machines and tools run in a safe, efficient and quality manner

  • Assists operators with any problems that may occur with the machines or tools

  • Changes tools and edits machining programs

  • Keeps machining liquids at appropriate levels

  • Reacts to production non-conformances according to Quality Procedures

  • Verifies and keeps production logs and reports

  • Meets daily with Supervisor to discuss issues that may have occurred
