Performs required duties in operating a variety of equipment used in the micronizing, drying, mixing and/or combining of chemicals to manufacture finished pharmaceuticals in assigned area of the division. Dependent on area of assignment, this includes the combining or processing of a wide variety of raw and intermediary materials used in the manufacturing of finished pharmaceutical products and packaging of finished APIs and intermediates. Performs a variety of miscellaneous tasks in support of the Department mission.Role ResponsibilitiesFunctional/Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic disciplines. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.Problem Solving and Innovation: Develops solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures.Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Closely supervised. Results can usually be measured on a daily or weekly basis.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS• Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED) and 6 months related experience or military experience or an associate's degree.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS•Prior experience in a chemical or formulation manufacturing environment preferred and may differentiate candidates during the selection process.PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS•Physical Demands: Considerable standing, walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting and moving of containers up to 25 kg.•When needed, 7 day work weeks with up to 12 hour shifts•Work Environment: Frequent exposure to airborne particles; must work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
