Pfizer Predictive Maintenance Technician III in Kalamazoo, Michigan


Perform maintenance activities associated with one or more of the following Predictive Maintenance Technologies: Airborne Ultrasonics, Infrared Thermography, Motor Circuit Evaluation


Functional/Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic discipline. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Problem Solving and Innovation: Develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures. Some knowledge of FDA, PSM, GMP policies and procedures is desired.

Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Closely supervised. Follows specific, detailed instructions.

Impact and Organizational Contribution: Contributes to the completion of routine tasks. Failure to achieve results could have significant impact on departmental objectives.

Teamwork/Influence: Contacts are primarily within immediate work group, or within normal process related work flows.

Time Span of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on a daily, weekly, or project basis.


  • Education: High school diploma / general education degree (GED)

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years related experience. Minimum of one ASNT Level III certification in PDM, Michigan state license journeymen electrician

  • Reasoning Ability: Behavioral strengths in initiative, self-motivation, judgment, lean, and planning / organization. Demonstrated personal trustworthiness, courtesy, cooperation and flexibility in working, interacting and communicating with diverse individuals/groups and ability to develop and maintain effective, trusting work and customer relationships.


  • Colleague may be frequently required to enter production or laboratory areas. Area safety precautions and requirements must be adhered to. Physical demands may include standing, walking, climbing stairs, lifting / lowering up to 50 lbs., desk/ computer work. Colleague may be exposed to airborne particles and must work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is loud at times. Use of hearing and eye protection is required.


This is a standard 40 hour/day shift schedule but will require colleague to work overtime on off-shifts and weekends to support business needs. Occasional travel may be required. Colleague will perform tasks in aseptic gowning required production areas.
