The teams services cover all aspects of clients needs from advisory, auditing, certification and inspection to outsourcing, quality assurance, testing, training and more.DUTIES:Preparing test samples utilizing a variety of hand tools and shop equipment.Setting up test apparatus for routine tasks.Setting up and operating analytical equipment including GC/MS and HPLC.Obtaining and recording test data in accordance with procedures.Performing analysis of test data and routine calculations.Maintaining equipment and facilities.May adapt procedures and equipment to meet department needs.May draft technical reports.May prepare project files for compliance with operating procedures.May make recommendations regarding technical decisions relating to the interpretation and applicability of test standardsMay communicate with clients and managementPerform other duties as required.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS:High school diploma or equivalent and 3 years of testing, or production related experience ORAssociate degree in chemical, physical, mechanical engineering or science or related field and 1 years of testing or production related experience. ORBachelor degree in chemical, physical, mechanical engineering or science or related fieldFamiliarity with chemical solution preparation and analytical methods.Ability to utilize basic shop equipment and various hand tools.Be aware of, and adhere to, safety practices and policies to ensure your own safety, as well as the safety of others who may be affected by your actions at workAbility to work in fast-paced, multi-tasking environment with shifting priorities and demanding deadlinesMust be detailed-oriented and able to effectively prioritize and organize workload, with efficient time managementAbility to communicate and interact effectively in verbal written and presentation formatsMust possess the fundamental technical and administrative skills required to perform the job dutiesMust be customer focused and quality drivenA career with Intertek means joining a global network of professionals dedicated to bringing quality and safety to life.
