Peckham Inc. - Quality Assurance Supervisor
The Quality Assurance Supervisor performs and supervises visual and dimensional inspection of product to ensure customer specifications are met. Analysis of data is required and appropriate action taken. Standard quality functions are performed and Peckham’s QMS is followed. This position is third shift.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise the quality team members by helping with training and development, coaching, counseling, and performance management
Lead and motivate team members by inspiring, motivating, and guiding towards accomplishments.
Understands the basic construction of garments and location of critical sew steps
Has a working knowledge of end item and dimensional sheets.
Understands FTC and productivity measurable
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Learns the key in-process inspection points on production line.
Works with Vocational Services Specialist (VSS) and key internal stakeholders.
Participates in problem solving projects by finding the root cause through best practice procedures
Records data in spreadsheets to assist with analysis and tracking of specific projects.
Focus on continuous improvement within work area by performing needs analysis’ and suggesting reasonable solutions
Work with Vocational Services Specialists (VSS) and Team Members on disciplinary processes when needed
Follow appropriate processes and procedures
Direct and assign work as appropriate
Train, coach, and adapt to the needs of the team
Maintain safe and clean work environment
Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
Other duties as assigned
This position does have direct supervisory responsibility
Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values
Provide mentorship and coaching
2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Passing and maintaining security background checks
Experience in textile, garment, fabric or apparel manufacturing is a plus, but not required.
Experience with ISO-9001 requirements
Sewing background helpful
Ability to read, comprehend and implement requirements from contracts, specifications and drawings.
Intermediate computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience providing feedback to others
Experience in document writing
