Job Description:

Within the Braking Business Unit, a student will be an integral part of a skilled engineering team working directly on various assignments that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. Job assignments will be placed in the following area:

  • Slip-Control Systems Applications and Product Development

  • Foundation Brakes Applications and Product Development

  • Braking Actuation Applications

Core Duties (may include not limited to)

  • Development and testing of current production and new designs for brake rotors, drums, hubs and calipers

  • Plans and manages design verification and product validation test work packages for applications projects and issues test reports approving suitability of parts

  • Evaluate and solve technical issues in product development

  • Interface and communicate with both internal and external customers on technical matters

  • Maintain appropriate engineering procedures throughout the product development process to achieve engineering deliverables which include cost, reliability and manufacturing objective


Required Education and Experience

Must be currently pursuing a 4-year college degree

Experience and Skill Requirements

Desired Qualifications:

A student must possess strong written, verbal, analytical and interpersonal skills, must be computer literate utilizing data spreadsheets, word processing and have the ability to learn and use custom software, must demonstrate strong analytical and problem solving skills and must display personal maturity and a high level of professionalism.
