Roush is seeking a multi-skilled individual to join the Manufacturing Team as a Production Schedule Coordinator. After approximately a year of continuous improvement activity, we are looking for a dynamic individual with a mix of data driven analytical skills and a drive to perform hands-on floor investigations. This new position has been created to analyze the current and forecasted workload, collaborate with Operations, and develop the best production schedule to be followed. Along with developing the schedule, she/he will also follow up the actual status of manufacturing on the floor to determine if any adjustments may be needed to the schedule to keep it as accurate as possible on a daily basis.
Determine daily, weekly, and monthly production activities based on received and potential work, with input from the OPs Manager, Processing, PMs, and Estimating groups.
Monitor and consistently update production schedule based on current machining cycle times and expected completion dates
Adjust capacity based on plant personnel, equipment capabilities, and available inventory
Balance and report out the schedule based on the above factors
Provide daily production reports to the OPs manager (EOS or BOS)
Daily ?at risk? reports to the production team for any potential late jobs
Expected vs actual production reports
High school diploma or equivalent
Must have 3 years of recent work experience in a production environment
Strong math skills and the ability to make precise calculations
Excellent organizational and planning skills
Must be a team player
Strong communication skills are needed for interaction with multiple disciplines within the department from operators on the floor to upper management
Strong written skills needed for documenting and reporting status daily
Comfortable working and launching software solutions in manufacturing production and ERP environment
Problem solving skills are a must
Willing and able to spend approximately ½ their time on the floor
Daily travel between two local plants will be necessary
