This 2nd Shift Manufacturing Coordinator position is an opportunity for a highly motivated person to assist in leading manufacturing operations in assigned areas and to drive success. Responsibility for daily coordination of production activities, oversees and delegates work to operators and ensures safety, productivity, quality and efficiency. Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the department to meet goals, budgets and quality levels.

  • Train and coach employees to provide for a strong positive team environment.

  • Assign work to operators to complete workload in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Ensure health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment while promoting and reinforcing safety and security awareness.

  • Report and/or address any issues or work-related injuries, and participate in any investigations as required.

  • Assist in executing the departmental continuous improvement program centered on driving improvements in safety, cost, productivity, quality, team member involvement and moral.

  • Maintain strong employee relations through various proactive formal and informal departmental communication strategies.

  • Assist in coordination of and leading pre-shift meetings and ensure timely communication of various topics.

  • Assist in troubleshooting and resolving daily issues in cooperation with Production Supervisors and Maintenance

  • Consistently apply company policies and procedures.

  • Assist with management of staff and employee reviews

  • Input timecards into Copics

Education Requirements (special training, college degree, etc.)

High School Diploma or GED required. Secondary education is a plus.


4+ years of general work experience required, prior experience in general assembly preferred.

1+ year leadership experience required, prior leadership experience is manufacturing operations preferred.

Lean Six Sigma and 5S principle experience preferred

Skill Requirements (Technical, Communication, Interpersonal, etc.)

Demonstrated problem solving skills to diagnose and resolve issues

Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with a wide range of employees to meet departmental goals.

The ability to handle multiple projects

Knowledge and experience with Copics preferred

Experience with MS Office

First responder / first aid certification preferred
