Marq6 Broadband Broadband Field Service Technician (Remote Worker) in Marquette, Michigan

Marq6 Broadband Field Service Technician will work independently and directly with customers to ensure a positive experience for Marq6 customers. middot; Field Service Technicians will make service calls, perform installation, troubleshooting, and routine maintenance of high speed internet and voice services on behalf of Marq6 customer. middot; Serves as a technical expert for sales team and customers middot; Adhere to industry specific, local, state and federal regulations, as applicable. middot; Thoroughly understand and follow company policy. Perform all duties of the Installer such as: connects and disconnects internet cable and voice services as well as performs upgrades, downgrades, pre-wiring and multiple dwelling installations. middot; Applies basic knowledge of electronics, installation techniques and repairs. middot; Applies working knowledge and demonstrates proficiency in the use of various tools and equipment. middot; Utilizes equipment and tools. These include but are not limited to: screwdrivers, pliers, ladders, drills, shovels, and various test meters. Troubleshoots, maintains, services, and resolves the problems back to the line tap. middot; Able to solve technical problems with customers and technicians by using effective verbal communications. middot; Applies working knowledge and demonstrates proficiency in the use of various tools and equipment. middot; Utilizes equipment and tools. These include but are not limited to: screwdrivers, pliers, ladders, drills, shovels, and various test meters. CLI testing and completes repairs, checks amplifier levels for signal quality and handles routine plant maintenance. middot; Applies working knowledge of OSHA, FCC, and TWC regulations and specifications. middot; Maintains and stocks necessary materials and tools for the company use. May sell additional services and/or products to subscribers. middot; Utilizes verbal, written and interpersonal communication to sell services and products. middot; Utilizes working knowledge of cable products, programming choices and prices. Performs other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent required, customer service experience. Must have good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and good mechanical aptitude. Thorough knowledge of electronics, installation techniques, use of various tools and equipment and familiarity of OSHA, FCC and ATC regulations and specifications. Must have experience setting up a wireless network, basic networking skills and knowledge, basic understanding/knowledge of internet speeds. Able to organize materials, tools and equipment. Able to respond to system outages quickly and solve and repair technical problems with customers and technicians through effective communications. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS WORKING CONDITIONS Working as a Field Service Technician you must be able to: middot; Maintain a valid and clean driverrsquo;s license and follow the companyrsquo;s and the state driver distraction policy. middot; Recognize and comply with all safety policies of the company and federal/state regulations. middot; Carry, climb and operate extension ladder, (approx. 28 ft high and 75 pounds)
