Midnight shift 11:40pm -7:40am

This position will receive, stock, retrieve, package, and ship components in support of the fabrication and operation of production machinery

Day-to-Day Role:

  • Safely and accurately process, stock, and retrieve components

  • Safely operate fork trucks, stock pickers, and pallet jacks

  • Utilize computer to perform shipping and receiving functions

  • Occasionally perform inventory audits

  • Conduct inspections of machinery and components utilizing various mathematical and instrumental inspection procedures and equipment

  • Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets, and other written documentation including various technical references, and be familiar enough with geometric tolerencing to use reference material

  • Complete, distribute and file appropriate logs, checklists, documentation of test results and other paperwork as assigned

  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Lead Material Handler

  • Promote good employee relations and high morale

  • Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible

  • Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment

  • All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager

Core Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:

  • One (1) year of warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Requires one of the following:

  • One (1) year of experience as an inspector of fabricated metal parts, or

  • One (1) year of experience as an industrial CNC machinist, or

  • One (1) year of experience as a CNC machine operator using mills and/or lathes

  • One (1) year of experience with verification procedures for checking equipment, parts and jobs in and out

  • Read and interpret blueprints, process sheets and other written documentation

  • Familiarity with geometric tolerancing

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Math skills to include simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division

  • Able to use basic inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gages, and indicators

  • Basic computer skills

  • Ability to safely operate powered industrial equipment

  • Work in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
