Dart is seeking a Co-Op Welder who is looking to learn welding processes and apply their knowledge in a fast-paced machining environment. At Dart’s Machinery and Tooling Manufacturing, we use the latest technology to build and maintain much of the production equipment and tooling used at Dart locations worldwide.

Successful candidate will apply their knowledge to operate all machinery and equipment in the welding area with assistance.

Comply with Dart Container's policies and procedures.
Perform basic GMAW, GTAW and SMAW welding operations.
Learn to read and interpret prints, specifications and other technical material.
Train in all areas related to the weld department.
Learn to select the appropriate welding materials for a job.
Learn to complete assignments with the appropriate written documentation.
Understand and comply with all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Promote good employee relations and high morale.
Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible.
Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Core Skills and Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess all of the following:
Demonstration of minimum proficiency with the English language in order to ensure effective new hire training and on-going communications about safety and quality issues.
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
Train to interpret weld symbols, GD&T and prints.
Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions and decimals.
Basic computer skills.
