Manager - Manufacturing Operations
Reporting to the Plant President, the Manager Manufacturing Operations will lead the manufacturing efforts (employees, equipment, production and physical plant) in a Commercial Print facility. Provide leadership in the development of plans and strategies for continually improving safety, quality, and productivity.
Lead the plant to improved safety, quality, productivity and reduction of waste on a consistent and continual basis in each and every process.
Work to improve the performance of employees through consistent and continual education and training programs.
Provide guidance and direction to supervisors regarding the continual improvement of operations.
Review and evaluate manufacturing activities, performances and results. Apply knowledge to identify and remove problems with schedules, excessive costs, materials or other factors affecting quality, safety, service or productivity levels inconsistent with plant continual improvement efforts.
Maintain open communication with employees to improve safety, quality, productivity and inclusion.
Insure compliance with applicable laws and regulations issued by OSHA, EPA, EEO, and other federal, state and local regulatory agencies.
Provide reports and feedback of plant performance as required.
Align operational plans with business and financial goals.
Develop strategies to maximize technology solutions to create efficient, cost effective work plans.
Performs other duties as assigned or requested.

Bachelors Degree preferred. Education requirements may be substituted with years of progressive Leadership, working in a printing facility.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Excellent time management skills.
Must be able to communicate well with employees, management and customers.
Must be able to communicate well with management team, supervision and employees regarding problem areas and quality concerns.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Requires experience leading operations and people in printing. Ability to lead, motivate, train and evaluate staff.
Must be self-motivated and driven individual who is willing to take the initiative.
Must be willing to make difficult (possibly unpopular) decisions.
Strong computer skills.
Must be able to work independently.
Must be able to work any hours, including weekends, as needed to get the job done.
