We're growing and need to fill multiple positions immediately! DuPont’s Midland, MI Automotive Plant is located in the MiOPS I Park and hiring Material Handlers. The Midland Auto Plant produces glass bonding primers and urethanes to supply OEM, tiered, and aftermarket automotive customers. The shift schedule has 7 consecutive days off during the longest break of the 28 day cycle allowing for trips and activities without having to consume vacation days.
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following:
Loading raw materials such as dry pigments from supersacks.
Operate, maintain, clean equipment associated with drum filling, pail filling and bottle filling operations.
Label finished product per work instructions.
Obtain required samples of finished product during packaging operations for laboratory testing.
Operate a fork truck to receive and offload raw materials, packaging, and other supplies per work instructions.
Operate a fork truck to stage raw materials for process as directed.
Complete all paperwork as required including procedures and batch records.
Environmental responsibilities include proper disposal of waste materials to prevent pollution.
Understand and follow all safety rules.
Perform duties assigned routinely and during plant emergencies.
Proper use of safety procedures to reduce employee health risks.
The following are required:
High school diploma/GED
Willing and able to lift 25kg (approximately 55 lbs) with or without reasonable accommodation
Willing and able to work a rotating 12-hour shift, including weekends and holidays as required
Willing and able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE), such as steel toes, hardhat, Nomex protective eyewear, face shields, arc protective clothing, and SCBA (self-contained breathing apparatus)
Willing and able to perform repetitive movement, including climb multiple flights of stairs, stand, stoop, and bend
Good communication skills and the ability to follow directions
