Axalta operates its business in two operating segments: Performance Coatings and Transportation Coatings, serving four end markets, including: Refinish, Industrial, Light Vehicle and Commercial Vehicle, across the following four regions: North America, EMEA, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.

The Master Scheduler, APC creates and manages a capacity- and material-feasible master schedule (weeks 3-16 and months 5-18) and associated rough-cut capacity plans and a detailed schedule (weeks 1-2) for the Ajax Plant, using the OMP+ Planning System and SAP. These plans drive effective mrp plans and feed the weekly site MPS meeting and the monthly APC Supply Review as part of the monthly Axalta Integrated Business Management process.

  • Validate suggested plan out of OMP+, adjust and check for optimal fixed detail and fixed volume plan

  • Ensure proposed detailed schedule meets daily batch constraints by work center

  • Audit capacity on a weekly basis to discuss constraints within supply chain, operations and execution team meetings

  • Reconcile material availability issues with raw material planning resources

  • Audit, adjust and maintain appropriate batch lot sizing to meet customer service levels and operations optimization

  • Review and update cycle times with operations management

  • Schedule plant maintenance down time in ERP Systems

  • Update and maintain material master data in regard to the new product introduction process

  • Own and maintain MRP1, MRP2, MRP3, and MRP4 material master data in ERP Systems

  • Create the weekly and monthly rough-cut capacity to outline current capacity constraints on work centers

  • Escalate weekly rough-cut capacity issues at weekly mps meeting

  • Escalate monthly rough-cut capacity issues to the monthly AIBM Supply Review

  • Suggest proper resource management per work center based on constraints and capacity analysis in forward looking weeks and monthsMain KPIs

  • Bachelors degree desired. Educational discipline in Finance, Business Administration, Supply Chain or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years scheduling/planning experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Experience with planning systems such as OMP, APO, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, etc

  • Learns new systems readily and quickly

  • Demonstrated ability to identify process improvement opportunities and take action to deliver improvement in cost, supply and/or elimination of NVA work

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional areas including manufacturing, SC, procurement, customer service to achieve shared goals
