Our facilities include Port City Castings Corp., Muskegon Castings Corp., Port City Metal Products, Port City Die Cast, Port City Custom Plastics, Alloy Resource Corp, and Mirror Image Tool.Summary:As part of a cross-functional teams, person in this position are responsible for safely repairing and performing preventative maintenance tasks on all die cast equipment. Properly completes assigned red/green check list. May be exposed to several elements, such as coolant, metal shavings, etc., but with none present to the extent of being hazardous.Duties and Responsibilities:•Perform mechanical maintenance duties such as repairs and preventative maintenance to pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, filters, and gearboxes.•Process Techs must be able to set up, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, perform die changes and improve the aluminum die cast injection molding process.•Self-manage time between process improvements and leading die cast operators through their daily tasks.•Work as a positive team player to accomplish customer satisfaction.•Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.•Accurately completes all necessary paperwork daily, such as preventative maintenance work orders, etc.•Follows prescribes safety standards.•Performs all Red/Green check list duties for assigned inspection operation daily.Position Requirements:•High school diploma or equivalent. Mechanically inclined with experience in a die casting environment preferred.•Demonstrated good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.•Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken, to read and interpret work instructions and other job-related documentation.•Must be able to perform simple math calculations.•Must wear prescribed personal protective equipment.•Must follow all safety policies and procedures.•Must be quality conscious and willing to support PCG philosophies.•Moderate to heavy physical effort is required, including lifting items that can weigh from 50 to 75 pounds.Please note that the duties and requirements described herein are intended to represent general contents of this job.
