Job Location: Muskegon MI

Job Description:

Looking for qualified individuals to fill upcoming U.A.W represented positions of Machinists, Assemblers and Material Handlers within our Muskegon facility. Searching for candidates who are willing to work first, second or third shift to support customer demand.

Essential Job Functions - Machinist:

  • Operate machine tools such as CNC, lathes, milling machines, and grinders

  • Follow documented process books for machine specific set up

  • Operate machines according to processes provided in the manufacturing of components

  • Gage parts per process book

  • Experience in using hand gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators and Go NoGo gauges

  • Any and all other duties as assigned by Management

Essential Job Functions - Assembly:

  • Assemble and disassemble military diesel engines and transmissions, as well as their sub-components

  • Follow documented process books for customer specific assembly

  • Read and comprehend instructions following established procedures

  • Assemble parts according to processes provided in established procedures

  • Perform required pressure tests on parts to ensure quality standards are met

  • Experience in using hand gauges such as: Micrometers, Calipers, Dial Indicators and Go NoGo gauges

  • Any and all other duties as assigned by Management

Essential Job Functions – Material Handling:

  • Perform audit counts and reconciliations on warehouse and plant inventory functions to improve accuracy and material handling methods

  • Assist in facility layout/reorganization changes to maintain a smooth flow of warehouse productivity & optimize facility utilization

  • Support the identification and processing of damaged, obsolete and consumable products

  • Communicate with interdepartmental personnel to investigate, analyze and coordinate cycle count activities

  • Knowledge of routine inventory control practices

  • Complete and maintain all required personal safety/department training

  • Licensed to operate a forklift and narrow isle stacker

  • Any and all other duties as assigned by Management


  • Must have 2+ Years machining experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Must be able to read orders and work instructions

  • Must be able to read and understand processes and process drawings

  • Must have mechanical skills

  • Must have mathematical skills

  • Must be able to lift up to and including 50 lbs. and must be able to bend and lift

  • Must pass a gauge test upon interview

  • Must be eligible to obtain a Security Clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • 2+ years of assembly experience preferred

  • Material handling experience preferred
