This is a union position and will be part of Operating Engineers Local 324.A Painter is qualified to successfully, efficiently, and accurately prepare and paint all engines, equipment and components required by their assigned service department. Painter is qualified to successfully, efficiently, and accurately perform rental check-ins. Should meet or exceed quoted labor of repairs with minimal rework and overage.The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:Painting of heavy equipmentPreparing equipment to be paintedMinor welding and fabrication workGeneral repairsEffectively sand, bondo and repaint equipment in a timely mannerCompleteing each repairaint job in a timely, efficient, and professional mannerWork and manage workloads independentlyIncorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activitiesCompletes other duties as assignedConsistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start timeQualifications2 years of previous heavy equipment painting experience is preferredPrevious body work experience is a plusPossess own basic handtoolsAttention to detailLanguage Skills - Basic: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.Mathematical Skills - Basic: Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.Reasoning Ability - Intermediate: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out inst
