Job Description:Position Summary:The Quality Manager leads the Quality department by planning, developing and coordinating the quality programs and processes to insure continuous production of products are consistent with established quality and customer standards.Primary Responsibilities:Establishes quality objectives to continuously improve the process that assures product qualityMaintains all key metrics regarding quality and maintains reporting systemsIs involved in all customer concerns to ensure they are reacted to immediately, resolved and the manufacturing facility is aware of all concernsEnsures the execution of corrective actions and the ongoing compliance with customers specificationsEnsures PPAP submissions for new launches and engineering changes are completedProvides leadership in directions toward maintaining and implementing the IATF 16949 systemDirect and allocate overtime hours as schedules require supporting all production activitiesPerforms/assists in associate performance reviews and discussionsSupports continuous improvement projectsParticipates in, and provides training as requiredParticipates in and performs Layered Process Audits (LPA) per planEnsures Housekeeping and Health Safety Standards are maintainedComplies with policies and procedures pertaining to facility or divisional adopted standards such as IATF 16949 and ISO 14001Utilizes the concepts of continuous improvement including LeanMay, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this descriptionEducation and Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent requiredFour year College or University Degree in Business, Quality, Engineering or related field preferredTwo to five years experience in a leadership role preferably in the automotive industryAbility to solve complex problems and exercise judgement based on the analysis of multiple sources of informationProven leadership and managerial skills, interpersonal skills and personal development skillsExperience in a variety of basic operation disciplines: Manufacturing, Quality, Process / Tooling and Shop Floor SupervisionProficient in Microsoft OfficeExcellent written and verbal communication skillsWillingness and ability to travel, as necessaryWork Environment/Work Conditions:Professional Office EnvironmentMust wear proper personal protection equipment while on manufacturing floorTravel to manufacturing facilities or customer locations when requiredEquipment used requires proper training on the potential for and avoidance of injuryPosition Type:RegularAdditional Locations: Additional Information:We are an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to a diverse workforce.
