The Tile Shop Production Worker II in Ottawa Lake, Michigan
Ability to use items such as trowels, wet saws, mixers and various tools.
Ability to use industrial equipment i.e. Forklifts, order picker and reach trucks.
Able to read, understand and follow the board production sheets.
Able to do basic math functions
Ability to read and understand such tools as rulers and tape measures.
Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to board type.
Be familiar with the picking process of boards
Able to secure picked boards for shipping to avoid damage.
Ability to inspect, use and maintain equipment in good working order.
Lift, move, sort, carry or place boxes and items onto/off of pallets.
Able to securely band and/or wrap pallets in a timely fashion.
Ensure that all pallets and items are clearly and accurately labeled.
Lift, move, sort, carry or place finished boards in/out of rolling carts.
Ability to push/pull full or empty rolling carts
Responsible for helping to maintain a clean, safe and organized working environment.
Other duties as assigned.
Work in other departments as needed
Experience using a wet saw and setting tile
High School Diploma or GED
Ability to read and write in English
Strong work ethic
Forklift, reach truck, and order picker certification or willing to be certified
Basic organizational, mathematical, and computer skills
Knowledge of proper safety measures
Ability to manually move and lift 50 lbs regularly and frequently up to and over 100 lbs
Ability to work at varying heights.
Ability to stand frequently as well as the ability to walk, sit, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, high/precarious places and outside weather conditions. The noise level is usually moderate but may vary
