Williams International Laser Operator - 2nd Shift in Pontiac, Michigan

Working within a team environment, the Cell Specialist will have responsibility for the operation, and inspection of all types of processes, parts, and activities including acid etch, component assembly, gearbox assembly, Buhler, CO2, Electron Beam Laser Weld, Flame Spray/Plasma Spray, etc. He/she will participate in inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are manufactured in accordance with manufacturing standards and specifications. Our culture fosters creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning to position our team members to inspire each other and provide quality products and supporting services that exceed the expectations of our customers.The OpportunityWilliams International has an exciting opportunity for a Cell Specialist-LaserOperator- 2ndShiftto join our team.ulliOperation and Inspection of all types including acid etch, component assembly, gearbox assembly, lsquo;Buhlerrsquo; (extrusion machine), CO2, Electron Beam Laser Weld, Flame Spray/Plasma Spray, etc./liliManufacture and/or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications/liliMaintain accurate and reliable documentation/liliPerform inspection and/or testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications/liliVisually inspects parts to ensure they are free of burrs or damaged surfaces/liliRemove burrs, sharp edges, tool marks and other irregularities from machined parts to ensure they are in accordance with engineering blueprints, and tolerance requirements/liliMaintain proper identification of parts per planning specifications and ensure that accurate and reliable records and documentation are maintained/liliCommunicate change of shift requirements to ensure team members receive accurate and reliable information and documentation/liliPerform routine maintenance of machines and equipment operated/liliClean, organize and maintain cellular manufacturing work area in accordance with established standards/liliEnsure the continuous flow of materials and parts through the Cell/liliAdhere to all safety standards and regulations/liliStrive to accomplish team goals and enhance the quality of machined parts through the reduction of scrap and improvement of throughput/li/ulQualificationsulliHigh School or GED required/lili5+ yearsof directly related experience/liliEffective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management/liliReads, understands and correctly interprets basic blueprint drawings/liliPhysical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches)./liliU.S. citizenship is required/liliPosition requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
