Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a driven, proficient, and collaborative Quality Assurance Tester (Associate or Mid-Level)to continue to lead our market growth. Our ideal candidate will:

  • Optimize, manage and evolve our Servicing technologies

  • Proactively improve systems through idea generation and relationship management

  • Assist in planning and strategizing the optimized architecture of our Servicing technologies’ environments

  • Create, test and deliver a quality product

  • Automate testing where possible to deliver quality releases

  • Liaise with internal and external teams when implementing and integrating new technologies

Position Responsibilities

  • Ensure clear information is collected for assignments

  • Accurately categorize work to ensure it is directed appropriately

  • Support prioritization processes led by the Project Management Office (PMO) or App Owner; Provide input

  • Engage in planning processes led by the PMO or App Owner and provide effective estimates, manage workload, and keep leader aware of capacity to support new or existing work

  • Organize and lead the formation of the automated testing discipline within the Servicing organization

  • Effectively understand requirements from customers and work with the internal team to design solution to meet their requirements

  • Efficiently write scripts to test and deliver a quality product

  • Perform manual tests when required

  • Perform assigned recurring tasks in a timely manner in order to maintain application health

  • Identify opportunities to reduce recurring work where practical (and/or improve performance, reduce risk, etc.)

  • Perform requirements/solution design for initiatives involving multiple originations applications as well as systems outside of Servicing technologies

  • Remove roadblocks and escalate where appropriate

  • Communicate clearly with team members, customers and leaders

  • Define/maintain best practices for using performance/monitoring tools

  • Create and execute automation scripts using a variety of tools/languages

  • Plan, write and execute load tests using a variety of tools/languages

  • Categorize test results into IT metrics and usable summary reports

  • Assist project team in the troubleshooting of testing issues

  • Remain compliant with our policies, processes and legal guidelines

  • All other duties as assigned

  • Attendance as required by department

Position Qualifications

Required:

  • Work onsite at the required Credit Acceptance work location

  • Possesses good understanding of the technical platforms (databases, web applications)

  • Supporting a web application as a business/quality analyst

  • For the Associate QA Tester, a minimum of 1 - 2 years’ experience

  • For the QA Tester, a minimum of 2 years’ experience

  • Strong understanding of web technology

  • Experience with SDLC

  • Basic understanding of Client-Server technologies

  • Ability to query database (SQL)

Preferred:

  • Testing certifications

  • Experience writing unit tests or UAT tests

  • Experience with web services (SOAP or REST)

  • Knowledge of testing tools like Quality Control, Selenium or Bugzilla

  • Knowledge of confluence and JIRA

  • Experience with Caché and/or Artiva

Position Compensation

At Credit Acceptance, we offer highly-competitive salaries based on current market evaluations, along with a comprehensive benefits package. In addition to a salary based on experience, you’ll also receive quarterly profit-sharing bonuses and annual merit bonuses. Salaries are reviewed annually and adjusted according to performance evaluation and market area estimations.
