Power Customer Satisfaction Award* Professional Women's Magazine/Black EOE Journal "Best of the Best"* Computerworld's 100 Best Places to Work in IT* Best Employers for a Healthy Lifestyle Gold Award* Detroit Free Press Green Leaders AwardDTE ENERGY CENTER ASSISTANT UTILITY SERVICES MANAGER STERLING HEIGHTS STAMPING PLANTLocation: Sterling Heights, MichiganGENERAL SUMMARYThis position is responsible for overseeing, managing and directing the day to day operation and maintenance activities for utility and energy-related assets located within a central utility complex at the FCA Sterling Heights Stamping Plant (SHSP).Assets include (8) Air Compressors both Centrifugal and Reciprocating with a total capacity of 35,000 CFM; (58) Roof Top Air Handling Units (gas-fired); Lighting and Electrical Distribution Systems; (1) Low Pressure Firetube Boiler (12 PSI Seasonal); (1) Weld Water System; and a WWT System capable of processing 250-300 kgal/month of Industrial Waste Storage and trucked off site.Utility systems and powerhouse infrastructure experience is required. Experience supervising unionized labor is important. Work involves performing difficult and complex services requiring a high level of independent judgment, initiative and discretion. Work is mainly self-directed, with work results reviewed through the achievement of set goals and adherence to policies and procedures.PRINICIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES•Ensure that the -Company-owned utility assets are operated in a safe, efficient, and environmentally-responsible manner while satisfying FCA's utility and energy requirements•Supervise and direct the daily activities of all plant personnel, including an hourly, unionized workforce consisting of 4 Stationary Engineers and 7 operators and skilled trades personnel, all of whom are FCA employees•Understand and adhere to all commercial and contractual obligations•Act as the onsite liaison between the Company and FCA•Ensure that all financial goals are met•Provide oversight to direct reports in the management of all energy conservation initiatives•Develop and manage annual OM budget and cost-saving measures•Manage site purchasing and inventory control processes•Manage employee time entry and work schedules•Conduct employee safety training•Prepare and issue weekly and monthly reports in a timely, consistent manner•S
