Aerotek Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Trenton, Michigan


These machines vary from older to newer and are very dirty due to a construction/concrete environment. Must understand and be okay with not working on top tier equipment, as this is all work based around the production of concrete.

This candidate will be working on various pieces of equipment such as tuckers, front end loaders, cranes and other heavy equipment. They will be responsible for performing various preventative maintenance on this equipment on a daily basis, but also be responsible for performing repairs.

HOURS: 7am-5pm Monday thru Friday. Occasional Saturdays if work load is heavy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE: -3+ years of diesel engine repair -Experience working on front end loaders, semi's skid steers, excavators, etc. -Running dianostics -Preventative maintenance (brakes, oil changes, rotors, etc.)

Preferred: Diesel mechanic state license

Disqualifiers: -no experience with preventative maintenance on diesel engines. -No attention to detail -Not maintaining housekeeping duties in garage -bad attendance
