The Opportunity

Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Grinder Specialist to join our 2nd shift (M - F 2:30pm - 11:00pm) team in Walled Lake. The Grinder position will be responsible for preparing parts for gas turbine engines by using manual and CNC OD, ID and surface grinders.

Additionally, the Grinder Specialist will:

  • Responsible for quality and inspection of work as required in processing instructions.
  • Familiar with an R&D; setting as well as production runs.
  • Experience in running manual machines and selection of proper wheel type.
  • Experience in using soft jaws, height stands, indicators and comparators a must.
  • Work in a team oriented atmosphere.
  • Maintain safe organized work areas.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in OD, ID and surface grinding.
  • Familiar with an R&D; setting as well as production runs.
  • Experience in running manual machines and selection of proper wheel type.
  • Experience in grinding stainless steels and nickel based alloys preferred.
