To learn more, please visit adient.com.PurposeThis Job Description defines the jobrequirements of a Quality Technician at the Bridgewater Interiors, Warrenfacility.ScopeThis Specification applies to the Bridgewater Interiors (BWI)- Warren facility of the Automotive Group of Johnson Controls.ResponsibilityThe Human Resources Manager and theDepartment Manager are responsible for creating all job descriptions forposition classifications at this facility.The Plant Manager and Quality Managerare responsible for verifying accuracy and approving all job descriptions.Job SpecificationBasicFunction:TheQuality Technician is responsible to perform quality audits of the process andmaterial and assist in the analysis and problem solving of quality issues, TheTechnician acts as a member of production supervision to ensure properprocessing of seats, support production schedules and elevation of productionconcerns as required as well as any deviation to process or policy.SpecificDuties:Productand Process AuditsDevelopa thorough understanding of the Quality Assurance Systems and procedures(Quality Procedures Manual, product line requirement, customer quality manuals,supplier quality system standards, etc.). Perform and document such inspection results as designated by theoverall quality plan.Responsiblefor testing auditing production process (e.g. work instructions, qualityalerts, error-proofing, containment verification and control plans) using toolssuch as red rabbits and poka yoke verification to insure employees andequipment are in compliance with production intent and to ensure employeescomply with all company rulesoliciesractices relative to quality anddelivery.Responsiblefor conducting product audits (H-point, dock audit, etc.) including appearance,objective measurement, and attribute tests as required with related testequipment set-up and data acquisition.Provideleadership in adherence to and promotion of 5s activities including conductingand reporting 5S audits and leading by example by adhering to facility, safety,and 5S policies particularly with regard to areas related to quality andquality processes.Performincoming inspection functions on purchased production intent materials.Responsiblefor evaluating, recording and removing non-conforming material from the lineinto a controlled area.ProductionSupportPerformproduction team member duties and attend necessary problem resolution meetings(e.g. white board meeting) as required to support production schedules.PerformQuality Assurance inspection, instrument/ gage calibrations and performcalibration and repair of small tools as needed in support of the overall gagecontrol program.Coordinate containment and establishment of "cleanpoints" as required.QualityData Gathering, Reporting and Issue ResolutionGatherdata for periodic reports. Record, assistin the data maintenance and, report-out of the quality visual management boards(bulletin boards, charts, etc.)lt
